Begründer des Cöln Comic Hauses ist die Schmitz-Lippert-Stiftung für US-amerikanische Comics.
Aus der Stiftungssatzung:
Die im Jahr 2008 gegründete Schmitz-Lippert-Stiftung ist eine rechtsfähige und gemeinnützige Stiftung des bürgerlichen Rechts.
Die Präambel der Stiftungssatzung lautet:
„Durch die Errichtung dieser Stiftung soll ein Beitrag zur Erforschung, Bewahrung und Vermittlung US-amerikanischer Comic-Kultur in unserer heutigen Gesellschaft geleistet werden. Die Befassung mit diesem Thema hat mir als Stifter interessante Einblicke und Erkenntnisse über die durch Künstler interpretierte Lebensphilosophie verschiedener zeitlicher Epochen vermittelt. Die von mir aufgebaute Sammlung US-amerikanischer Comic-Hefte soll für die Nachwelt dauerhaft erhalten bleiben und weiter ausgebaut werden. Die Stiftung soll mit ihrer Hilfe als Ausdruck bürgerschaftlichen Engagements einen Beitrag zu Bildung und Erziehung und zur Förderung von Kunst und Kultur leisten.“

If you want to breathe comic book air, here you hit the mother lode. The shop offers state-of-the-art service and a huge variety of Comic Books, Manga and Graphic Novels.
The Schmitz-Lippert-Foundation was established in 2008 and is recognized as a non-profit legal entity under German Civil Law. The foundations rules read as follows: „With the establishment of this foundation we want to contribute to the research, the preservation and the communication of US American comic culture in today´s society. As a founder, the American comic book provided me with the entertaining opportunity to experience US popular culture and history through the decades. As part of this foundation, my comic book collection will be preserved and expanded in order to foster education, the arts and culture.“

Our mutual vision is to establish, provide and foster a network of comic readers, comic artists, comic collectors, kids and adults interested in comics and those that might become one of the above.
Open: every first and third saturday in a month from 3 pm to 5 pm
